Key questions to be answered and known by the end of the chapter and included in the note (answered afterwards with same sequence of numbers) Distinguish and make assumptions between different types of law. Be able to compare and contrast the consensus and conflict perspectives on law. Note: not all societies in the world utilize a formal legal system as we do in canada, in some places throughout the world this does not exist. Traditional societies rely mostly on customs such as legal rules being put into place by the elders of the village. Therefore prospects for conflict and dispute within the society increase, therefore there needs to be enforcement implemented.
