Researcher listens to what the participants say and ask questions. Gather more data through documents and interviews. This can be the most important and dif cult steps. Chosen because it ts with the research being conducted. Be completely open about what you are attempting to nd and how you will conduct your research. Be honest about the amount of peoples time and commitment they will need to supply. Use friends, contacts, colleagues to help gain access. Get someone in the organization to vouch for you. Sponsors and gatekeepers can help advocate and make the process easier. See the researcher as an extension of upper level management. Participants will be worried that what they say or do will re ect negatively on them. Fear of losing job, social status ect.
