Digestive reflexes and salivation: digestive reflexes in dogs: permanently implanted tubes to collect salivary and stomach juices in dogs. Problem : psychic secretion ( problem was that the dogs salivated before they ate) experimental error. Unconditioned stimulus paired with neutral stimulus -> reflex action. Conditioned stimulus -> conditioned response: pavlov"s work gave a scientific association.
