Gender equality and social change: hillary clinton running for president - is gender equality an attainable vision, gendered ways institutionalized and continue to be reproduced through our social interactions. Summary: whereas the term sex is often used to refer to our physical bodies, either male or female, gender refers to the socially constructed characteristics of masculinity and femininity. Yet both divisions rely on binary, either/or constructions.
