Nonverbal expectancy theory: a communication theory that suggest that if listeners" expectations about how communication should be expressed are violated, listeners will feel less favorable toward the communicator of the message. Platform conversation - good eye contact, appropriate gestures, and natural, conversational tone with varied inflection, with an intensity that communicates interest.
