Sinon captured by trojans: receives pity for false words, pelasgian, selected by seer calchas to be sacrificed, priam releases him, sinon makes declaration to sky. Serpents killed laocoon"s sons, then laocoon: serpents took shelter in tritonia"s shrine, people decide to take horse in, cassandra"s prophecies ignored, sinon lets men out. Battered hector appears in dream: hector: flee and go build city. Aeneas wakes to chaos: panthus explains, aeneas fights, coroebus (cassandra"s fiance) and others help.
