We all experience the harmonizing aspect of digital media when an internet meme such as a viral video becomes a phenomenon in multiple countries and cultures and across genders and ages. Luddite: a follower of the 19th century labor activist ned ludd, who advocated smashing what was then the new leaving machine. Now often used as a blanket term for someone who opposes all things new. Libertarianism: a political and economic theory that posits the primacy of freedom and especially economic freedom to allow markets to regulation human affairs. Technological determinism: an approach on technology that posits unmediated outcomes from use of technology, and in its extreme form, a kind of self-determination and internal logic to the evolution of technology.
