Small and medium-sized enterprises (smes) refers to all business with fewer than 500 employees. Lack of promotion opportunities within their own job, many positions in higher management are still dominated by men. Women returning to the workforce women who return to the job market after raising a family find that their skills are outdated, or get age discrimination. Public awareness of women in business seeing women on the internet take ownership and pride of their company, and their own business gives other women empowerment to do the same. Part-time occupations making a hobby a career on the side, until it picks up and becomes a business idea/model.
