Document Summary
Violence is instrumental by nature and remains rational only if it pursues short term goals. It"s rational to the extent that it effectively reaches the end that must justify it. It also helps bring grievances to the notice of the public. Problem: leads to a more violent world as actions are irreversible and returning to old status quo after defeat is always unlikely. Bureaucracy: form of government where everyone is deprived of political freedom and where all are equally powerless, where we have a tyranny without a tyrant. Violence is now just used to acquire power. If violence is retaliated, human race will be wiped out and if that happens, no end has been achieved to violence.
