Document Summary

Developed countries need to rethink their diets: eating the unfamiliar: insects and meat-less meat that an sate the carnivorous urges we have. What is deemed as desirable in regards to food changes over time as new thing come out and people begin to prefer some tastes over others. Cultured burgers: muscle tissue taken from a cow, and fed in a lab 20,000 muscle fibers equal to a regular-sized burger. Expensive to make: current cost of lab-grown meatballs 40,000 per kilo, hope to reduce the cost to 64/kg and possibly as low as 15/kg. Current meatless burgers without any animal medium used are in existence, making them viable options for vegetarians and vegans as there are no animal-related controversies. People eat what is delicious: we may not know what it is made of (hot dogs) but so long as it tastes good, we are down to eat it.
