Meditation: is any procedure that involves a shift in consciousness to a state in which an individual is highly focused, aware and in control of mental processes. Teri schiavo: suffered severe brain damage after going into cardiac arrest, she was diagnosed with being a persistent vegaitive state and subsequently taken of life support. Brain death: a condition in which the brain specifically including the brain stem , no long functions. Coma: is a state marked by a complete loss of consciousness. Generally, due to the brains stem or to widespread damage to both hemisphere of the brain.
