Security as a state of affairs enables the utilisation of assets or resources such as beaches and cultural heritage, which attract tourists. Wide view that international visitors are concerned about their personal safety. Believed that tourism can only thrive under peaceful conditions, if not, it crumbles. A common way of making areas more secure and to allay fears of insecurity is for local and national governments to provide support for more intensive policing in tourism areas. Tourism is highly vulnerable in relation to terrorism, especially with regard to the financial and political value of hostage taking. National and supranational organisations concerned with tourism have little influence on peace and security agendas.
