This pregnancy rate represents broader social problems as well as an indicator and determinant of poor reproductive and sexual health. Improving the sexual health of adolescents in south africa is a significant challenge for all of the individuals involved. Research regarding sexuality in adolescents was done based on knowledge-attitudes- Practice surveys that give a general understanding of some parts of adolescent sexuality that are acquired which also reveals that adolescents have a tendency to engage in sexual practices that are high-risk and demonstrate gaps in reproductive knowledge. Kap-gap failure to use knowledge to modify practices which is commonly observed in research. Some factors that contribute to this are pressure from female peers/male partners which contribute to early & unprotected sexual intercourse.
