Without understanding and accepting these similarities and differences, it is impossible to develop a working relationship with client. Mistakenlyy assuming similarities or differences can lead to therapist imposing their own beliefs or valies on client or assuming theirs are better. Therapist brings into awareness the many contexts that frame their work with client. Interpersonal and environmental atmospheres of the therapy session. Sociocultural context of the client"s living situation etc. Frames can potentially influence client therapist relationshup both positively and negatively.
