Step 1: each member said name in turn: each member guessed names of specific person from list (prompts, eventually would have to try to remember names without prompts (fading) Members required to look at person whose name they were remebering. Singing, instrument playing, music listening, music games, dance/movement (behaviour activator) Order could change each day according to activation level of group. Important to keep them involved because of attention and concentration difficulties. Even during music listening, members had to listen for specific lyrics, name the singer etc. Familiar spanish pop songs from 40s and 50s. Specific topics addressed in sessions: flowers, clothing, spring etc. Mt modeled enthusiasm and engagement during all sessions. Positive reinforcement used to encourage particpation and involvement. Bingo, crossword puzzles, question and answer games in musical contexts.
