Animals rights as a philosophy can be traced from ancient india around 9th century. In aristotle"s view, humans are more perfect than animals, which in turn are more perfect than plants. Worldwide movements ranging from groups that promote improvements in animal welfare (well-being), protect the wild/endangered species, animal abolitionists who argue humans such become vegans (vegetarians who use no animal products) and stop using animals together. Animal rights movement had the largest impact in europe. Animal cruelty has been forbidden in canada since confederation, the penalties are minor and rarely enforced. Some philosophers argue that animals have no moral status, they are not the sorts of beings that must figure in our moral deliberations. In secular world (one not dominated by religion), arguments must be given that don"t depend on the acceptance of a particular religion.
