Some hold masters and may become licensed as psycho associates. Hold either masters or doctoral (doc of education) Usually work with people who are functioning pretty well. (licensed prof counselor and mft only masters degree) Mft are not under board of psych. Best one in demand need, can get job anywhere. Trained with people with disorders- with meds. Clinical social worker- msw 1-2 yrs school help/referral to programs ie medicaid, shelter. Mental disorders and the law (law always trumps psych) Trained to work in community- child protective service, homeless etc, give to stand trial if judge thinks you can"t stand trial for self then judge can determine they need representation to manage affairs. Replaced the m"naghten rule it was rejected because too broad. So used the penal modal code or some shit if you have sociopathology or history of antisocial disorder it is not considered a valid defense for criminal behavior.
