Some science fiction writing has imagined and created tools designed for a person to forget something. Some examples include films made by disney that show a memory eraser that causes people to forget things that someone may do, like in the incredibles movie. While this example deals with erasing the memory of a single person or small group about one event, some people have created digital tools to erase everything and create a clean slate. While these tools don"t actually exist, its considered an example of hide and seek technology that represents tools existing to try and hide us from being found because of privacy. They came in response to seek technologies that are deceptive and capable of taking away our valued privacy over time in a way that we don"t notice it. Hide technology could be things like tools of counter surveillance or things that you could wear to track other people that surveillance you.
