To explore the meaning of images is to recognize that they are reduced within dynamics of social of power and ideology. Ideologies: are systems of belief that exist within all cultures (images are important means thru which ideologies are produced. Propaganda: the crude process of using false representations to lure people into holding beliefs that may compromise their own interests. Ideologically is to act out of ignorance (ideology in this sense carries a perjorative cast. However, ideology has come to be understood to be a much more pervasive, mundane process in which we are all for the most part aware. Ideologies for pol is: broad but indispensable shared sets of values and bheliefs thru which individuals live out their complex relations in a range of social networks. Widely varied and intersect all their levels of all cultures (diverse and ubiquitous)
