Scene: grand jury decision on indicting the police officer who shot and killed mike brown. Some waited hoping for a miracle, most waited because they knew a crisis was brewing. White folks used the waiting period to prepare for war . During this waiting period, more blacks were killed: tamir rice, Tanisha anderson, aura rain rosser, roshad mcintosh, darrien. Hunt, dante parker, akai gurley, ezell ford, omar abrego and many others. The ultimate decision of no indictment did not surprise most blacks. But waiting for justice - and most precisely, struggling for justice. Mainstream press, president obama and black leaders urged patient, calmness and nonviolence. But the main source of violence has been the police. State violence always invisible in a world where cops are known as heroes, their actions framed as security, protection and self-defense.
