If you get users early, you keep them for life. Issue: a lot of people don"t have access to technologies, no data plan, no multimedia, and wi-fi. Goal is to meet users where they are, not where company wants them to be. So fb reached out to the africans: facebook targets africa, fb takes over africa. Needs and wants change fast and is faster than people can build new solutions: needs analysis must balance with needs anticipation, needs anticipation - like guess what people will need in the future. Looking into the future: must balance what users think they need today with what designers think they will need tomorrow, needs anticipation is creating new needs, needs analysis is fulfilling existing needs.
