Effective delivery- skillful application of natural conversational behavior in a way that is relaxed, enthusiastic and direct: strive for naturalness. Elocutionary movement- feeling uneasy about delivery would have been justified. Appear smooth, polished, unrehearsed: show enthusiasm. Use more gestures, look at your listeners, use more pronounced facial expressions. They want to know more about the thing that excites you. Focuses your attention on the message: project a sense of confidence. Inspire the audience"s confidence in you and message. Directs the audience"s attention to the message: be direct. Show you care about them and their reasons for listening to you. Make your message relevant to the interests and attitude of audience members and demonstrate your interest and concern for them in your delivery. Maintain eye contact, friendly tone of voice, animate facial expressions, position so you are close to audience. You read a speech verbatim- prepared written text (paper/ teleprompter) contains entire speech word for word.
