Thinking about your audience includes their: background, education, life experiences. Interests: motivations, demographic information, race, gender, sexual orientation, occupations, religion, economic status, political views, bias, special interests, political party, previous knowledge of the topic, relationship with you. Informal/formal: expectations, response, preferences, organization, design, genre. Genre: a kind of writing. (ex: letters, profiles, reports, position papers, poems, blog posts, instructions, parodies, jokes: can change the presentation of the content.
