He worked with teachers that were noticing behavioral problems in kids, and wanted to make sure that the teacher"s own experience was not reflecting onto the kids. Teachers were creating their own experience of the world and this reflects on their evaluation of the kids. His book: psychology of personal constructs (1955) He created new language to describe things in his theory. Makes it kind of cumbersome to learn these new words. Ability to think makes us free and determined. Our thinking allows us to make our own meanings. However we are also constrained by our own thinking. Think about your thinking and come to conclusions about what makes the most sense. Alternate scientific constructs; each may provide a useful view of the world. Think about many povs about the world. Instead, construe events interpret and make sense of them in our own particular way.
