Technological determinist: a person who believes that all social, political, economic, and cultural change is inevitably based on the development and diffusion of technology. Bias of communication: innis"s idea that communication technology makes centralization of power inevitable (predictable) The medium is the message: new forms of media transform our experience of ourselves and our society, and this influence is ultimately more important that the content of specific messages. Global village: new form of social organization emerging as instantaneous electronic media tie the entire world into one great social, political, and cultural system. The extensions of man: media literally extend sight, hearing, and touch through time and space.
