ART 4996 Chapter : Animation Critique
Document Summary
In the animation from scratch , which was created by stephen chiodo, a samurai-like figure sees a star figure in the sky and starts jumping towards it to try to touch its surface. After jumping a few times, he creates a copy of himself. He then keeps creating more and more copies of himself through rolling and great concentration. When he has made quite a few copies of himself, they all climb on top of each other and one of them tries to jump for the star and miss. They all fall down and it cuts to credits. This short piece inspired me so much because i really appreciated how crisp the figures were. Also the style in which the director decided to use was very refreshing. I loved the camera shots; they were so dramatic and made it so great.
