Document Summary

Difference between science and pseudoscience: science can be disproven, pseudoscience cannot be disproven. A scientific theory differs in definition from that of everyday usage: many people use the word theory to mean hypothesis, or even educated guess . A scientific theory is a general explanation for important natural phenomena. It is more like a principle or natural law (e. g. the atomic, gravitational, and cell theories) If compelling evidence arises, a theory may be modified. The scientific method: observation, question, hypothesis, prediction, experiment, conclusion. Bacteria is not growing around the mold : observation, question, based on observations, hypothesis, must be able to test, could me more than one as long as its testifiable. Mold produces a substance that kills bacteria : bacteria don"t like mold. Replication: you should be able to replicate, someone else should be able to replicate, easy to understand by all, vaccines and autism, no one else is able to replicate results.
