There are 4 floral organs in a complete flower: Sepals: enclose and protect the floral bud before it opens. Stamens (consists of the anther and filament) Anther: consists of chambers of microsporangia that produce pollen. Carpels (consists of the stigma, style, and ovary): reproductive organs. Incomplete flowers lack one or more of the floral organs. Lacking sepals, stamens, or carpels; some are sterile or unisexual (lacking stamens or carpels) Complete flowers have all 4 basic floral organs. Incomplete flowers may lack either stamens or carpels. Plants with flowers of both sexes are monoecious (bisexual) Plants that have flowers of one sex or the other are dioecious (unisexual)
