Document Summary

Nonpolar- same charge on both nuclei and electrons spend equal times near each nucleus. A polar covalent bond- bond in which electron is shared . Atoms are separated by one then polar. Every bond involving hydrogen is not a hydrogen bond. Separate water molecules form hydrogen bonds but bonds within one water molecule form a polar covalent bond. Polar and ionic substance which are hydrophilic are easily dissolved in water. Hydrophillic describes the property of having an affinity for water water loving. Anything that is non polar is water fearing . Our bodies store glucose is a specific order. Glycogen gets stored in our liver and skeletal muscles. Fat gets stored all of over our bodies for long term energy. Carb-loading - if you have a lot of room to store glycogen in muscle then its harder to gain fat. Water weight- water has a lot of mass. Saturated versus nonsaturated- saturated fats have as many hydrogens bonds as possible.
