Document Summary

Scientists still question the possibility of this story: the flood story is a universal myth. If the flood is told all around the world, it could be regarded as truth and the flood could have happened. Henotheism: the belief that there are many gods in the existence, but one of them is more powerful than the others (zeus), this is the religion that appears in greek myth. Zeus is the great lord of heaven and earth, and is male because the culture currently believes that the male makes the babies and is therefore the most important. In greek mythology, zeus constantly sleeps with women (humans, other goddesses, and nymphs) because his power depends on the male"s ability to make babies. Shares administration with his two brothers- poseidon: god of the sea, and hades: god of the world of the dead. Odysseus gives the souls pigs blood, and they drink it and have temporary strength to talk.
