Niobe tried to protected her youngest but wasn"t successful. She was overcome with grief she turned to stone. He statue is weeping, bent over protecting a child. To prove divine power , apollo,went to delphi(city center of earth) he killed a large serpent, and apollo made delphi center of worship. Apollo-god of prophecy /god of art/ god of athletics. When gods try to communicate with human, is incomprehensible.
