Asychronous: time delay - can be minutes, hours, weeks, months. Different types of space when dealing with cmc. Physical space: the physical environment in which you do your communicating. Perceptual space: using the computer to create perceptual space. Conceptual space: how we communicate within the computer as well as through the computer.
