With texting you can delay your response: sensory channels- all available. If your in a face to face you can see body language, how dressed, etc: communication context- face-to-face communication. Important because we need to hopefully develop our intrapersonal skills to analyze certain things. Public- a public address; a sermon, you have to be sitting in the crowd. Organizational- looking at communication through organizational factors; looking at how cultures are formed and evolved or how leaders build or change organizations. Mass- how to read a large group of communication through some technology; examples: radio, communication though your television. Developmental perspective- how interpersonal communication develops through the lifespan of a relationship: impersonal interpersonal, cultural- how each persons culture effects communication exchange. Not going to get to it until your on the interpersonal perspective. Interactional approach- looks at communication in action; what things are true and not true with action with others: one cannot not communicate- all of our actions are communication.
