Document Summary
Three types of nonverbal communication that i use everyday are haptics, proxemics, and physical appearance. A good example of this would be when my friend was involved in a five-car-accident. I came home from work and received a call that she was in the hospital because she had been in a horrible wreck. I immediately left and went to the hospital, her family saw her parents, i walked over and gave them a hug. Her parents being considered to have more power than me had no influence because i know both of them, and a tragic event had taken place, so they needed comfort. In our culture, hugging your had been in a car accident or not, i would have hugged her parents had i seen them. example of proxemics would be today in my environmental science course.
