Document Summary

An example of jealousy that was experienced was between my brother and me. We are extremely close, but lately i have been very busy with three jobs and six classes. I also joined a business fraternity this semester, so it is very taxing to be able to make time to go home and visit my family like i have been able to do every other semester in the past. This agitates my brother a good deal because he feels as though i"ve put him on the back burner, when in reality, i simply don"t have any spare time anymore. This would be labeled as activity jealousy because my brother was jealous of the time that i was dedicating to work and school instead of him. One communicative response to jealousy that is most frequently used is negative affect expression, which is my brother displaying and relaying his hurt feelings to me.
