These series all show the cases of criminal offenses; however, they rarely show the mindsets of the criminals behind them. The study of criminology is crucial for law enforcement authorities worldwide. Understanding the nature and motive of most crimes can be difficult to pinpoint, being that every individual is different. More severe crimes, such as mass murders, have distinct behaviors that lead agents to the felon. With every action comes a reaction, the reaction, in this case, is a consequence. If convicted, each crime has its own punishment- the more severe the crime, the more severe the punishment. Serial killers, traitors, and kidnappers have different aspects that categorize them to fit the crime. Serial killers are not new to the world of crime. Serial killing dates back more than hundreds of years.
