In this story the main character the wife is portrayed as a very materialistic person, in which always in pursuit for worthy items such as jewels and money. She fails to realize how her husband truly loves her. In which makes this story take a turn for the worst. Resulting in a very sad and tragic ending. There was a beautiful young lady who was born into a very low income family. From a young age she always had dreams of going to these fancy dances with the nicest dresses, and the prettiest jewels. Her dream was never able to come true, especially by marrying a clerk. One day her husband came home with this great news that they had been invited to the palace of ministry. At first his wife did not want to attend because she did not have anything formal to wear.
