Act i scene ii: hamlet is wearing black for mourning, but the queen wants him to wear something different. But it totally was because usually people take a year to mourn a king. Insulting him and calling him unmanly, stubborn, and hurting the heavens: claudius doesn"t let hamlet go back to school because he wants to keep his enemies close. Hamlet could easily go and find an army and take his rightful place. But claudius is trying to prevent that from happening. Act ii scene i: the first person to see hamlet"s madness is ophelia. Hamlet thinks she would tell polonius who would tell claudius. He"s only using her (much like polonius said except in an ironic twist)
