Orographic- rainfall produced when a moving moist air mass encounters a mountain range. Pushes it up into the air on one side of the mountain that"s why one of the sides of the mountain is dry and ones wet. Frontal- rainfall caused by the interaction of large air masses of different temperatures. Convectional - caused by rising warm air that includes moisture (thunderstorms). Hot hot ground hot moisture into the clouds makes thunderstorms.
