Geography is the study of the interaction of all physical and human phenomena at individual places and of how interactions among places form patterns and organize space. *it is about how, why, and where human and natural activities occur and how these activities are connected. Location- where is it? relative or exact. in relation to something else, or location on earth"s surface. Place- unique properties of a place, no two places on earth are alike. Movement- communication, circulation, migration, and diffusion across the earth"s surface. Human-earth relationships- human interactions with an environment; resource exploration, environmental pollution, hazard perception. Differentiation: describe and explain the differences between places. Integration: describe and explain linkages or connections between places. Used by the public to refer to a general area. Increasing interconnectedness of people and places through converging processes of economic, political and cultural change. How places remain distinct more interconnected and more interdependent.
