See the lsu general catalog and your curriculum advisor for your degree requirements. Students will also develop competency in critical thinking, the ability to evaluate a position or argument, and competency in written communication. Course requirements: this course covers a broad swath of western history from the emergence of human civilization to 1500. This class is primarily a lecture class so class attendance is highly encouraged. This class will have two100-point exams, two 50-point written assignments, one 50-point book test, and one 150-point final exam. The exams will come primarily from the lectures and assigned readings. Grading schedule: eric a-k exam 1, l-z exam 2, nik l-z exam 1, a-k exam 2.
