HIST 1003 Chapter : SYLLABUSENDSF2011
Document Summary
History 1003, incorporated into each semester"s syllabus by reference. All exams are worth 100 points (3 hour, 1 final). (400 points) Short quizzes, in class, and/or short assignments to bring to class or on-line via moodle are 10-25 points each, depending on the semester. For details see the current syllabus and moodle. My goal is to have enough of these to easily total 100 points, but if not, the total points available for the course will be adjusted and as will the divisor used to arrive at the final numerical average. As a rule, i look at each student"s work over the entire semester before assigning a final grade for the course. If i see improvement or an unusual deviation from the normal pattern of your work (say one exam when you fell down), i consider that in working from the numerical average to the final grade.
