Came from men dedicated to the king/ lord etc. had rights & responsibilities that others did not have. By 1500, this method of fighting is obsolete. Armies are no longer armies of knights, they"re armies of commoners= guns, pikes, sledgehammers. They still own most of the land reward of being a warrior. Third class- peasants - all poor divisions include =free, semi free, & unfree (serfs) Semi free- provide kids as servants/various duties & obligations.
