Great Britain Weaknesses in WWII:
• Lack of leadership from Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. Civilian enthusiasm was
not as high under him as it was under Churchill.
• British misinterpreted Hitler’s intentions. They thought he just wanted to lift the
restrictions from WWI. They didn’t realize that Hitler’s goal was total European
domination.
• There was a lack of satisfactory bomb shelters.
• Britain’s “Achilles heel” was the dependence on large scale imports of food and raw
material.
