Integrated marketing communication: in an imc environment, all promotion elements are thought of as a single communication system with each element supporting the objectives of every other element. Class focus: visual merchandising in primarily the retail environment- the store. Retail constantly changing: competition, spending patterns/ buying patterns, customer informed, sophisticated, loyalty not guaranteed, market not larger, just smarter, shopping is still social activity, retailers must distinguish themselves to survive; vm is one way to do so! Definition: the presentation of merchandise at its best, color coordinated, accessorized; self explanatory.
