Life processes: definition of anatomy, anatomical terminology, body cavities, abdominopelvic regions and quadrants, human body and disease, medical imaging, measuring the human body. Definitions: anatomy, looking at structures of the body, dissection, cutting of a body, for the use of research or medical reasons, prossection, bodies are already cut up, physiology, looking at functions of the body. Inspection: observing the body for anything that is obvious (bruise, cutting, rash, palpation, touching/feeling body structures, auscultation, using a stethoscope, listening to breathing or heart, percussion, tapping on the body with fingertips, listening for resulting echo. System level: two or more organs make up a system, an organ can be in more than one system, organismal level, the organism itself, ex: human body. Integumentary: skin and associated glands, hair, fingernails, toenails. Skeletal: bone, cartilage, joint, muscular, skeletal muscle, tendon, cardiovascular, heart, blood vessels (arteries and veins)
