Client: 38 year-old male who is considered moderately fit with a resting heart rate of 80 and wants to gain strength and he loves doing cardio and likes variety. Client"s hr max= 182 (target heart rate range 129-140) Cardiorespiratory fitness: first, i would assess the cardiorespiratory fitness of the client by recording the resting heart rate (to calculate the hr max and hrr) and also making them perform the three-minute step test. 10-15 minutes walking (3-4. 5 mph) on flat surface. Standing hamstring stretch (back flat: 10- 20 seconds per stretch repetition, 3-4 repetitions. Double knee to chest stretch: 15-25 seconds per stretch repetition, 2-3 repetitions. Muscular strength and endurance: first, i would evaluate the client by assessing their muscular strength by using the 1 repetition maximum test. Then, assess their muscular endurance by using the 20 repetition maximum test. Moderate intensity, intensity levels should continue to increase to levels above those the body is used to.
