Laine a role due to a last minute drop out. As soon as liz told her daughter about her new role, laine began to sob. The two argued for what seemed like forever; laine refusing to accept the role, and liz rebutting that it was too late, she was already cast. Around the time laine turned 11, she developed obsessive compulsive disorder. In her eyes, going into a professional production in which she knew no one was a terrifying reality. Despite her daughter"s constant pleas to not be in the show, liz remained firm in her decision and on the first day of rehearsal drove her to the theater. As they walked into the auditorium, they were met by dozens of smiling faces; however, laine could not help but feel a deep sense of fear. The director stood up and asked everyone to introduce themselves. When it was laine"s turn she dried her eyes and stood up to introduce herself.
