Public relations writing: the tools for public relations. One of the most common forms of pr writing. Emphasize what the editor wants and will thing is most important. Must be able to apply news values and anticipate what editors want. Fewer than 10% are published: form of the news release. Body of the news release follows inverted pyramid. Use strong quote from a per0osn who can be contacted about the issue. Clearly indicate the end of the release by typing ### or --- 30 --- in the center of page at bottom: paraphrase when quotes should not be there. Place the verb ahead of the noun if necessary to avoid awkward writing. When a quote uses just one sentence the attribution usually follows the quote. When a quotation uses more than just one sentence, it is usually best to put the attribution at the end of the first sentence. Find a logical spot for the quote, flow.
