The drunkard poet who constantly writes about death, slowly taking his problems out on the pen and paper. Edgar allen poe"s the raven, expresses the story of a man who recently lost the woman he loves. The narrator attempts to keep himself busy with reading, unfortunately nothing would get his mind off of his deceased wife. The raven will never leave the narrator again. This poem represents how much a person"s death can take a toll on you. Finding peace with yourself and others proves a struggle that we, as humans, tend to forget. In reality we often retain moments we cherish with others. Each time i partake in reading the raven , i cannot help but notice how much pain the author feels. Once love comes in contact with your soul, every conscious thought in the brain leisurely turns into sentimental moments etched into your memory.
